Welcome to GatherCam, a service operated by Jurassics Ltd (“GatherCam”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). GatherCam is a mobile application and related services that allow users to create private shared events where participants can upload photos from their mobile devices into a shared album.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use GatherCam, including our mobile application, website, and related services.
When you create an account, create an event, or join an event, we may collect your name, email address, phone number if provided, and profile photo if provided.
We collect information related to events you create or join, including event name, event date and time, event settings, preferences, invite details, and participant details.
When you upload content to GatherCam, we collect photos uploaded from your device, photo metadata such as upload date, file type and image dimensions, optional captions, comments, reactions, and shared album activity.
We may collect device type and model, operating system, app version, IP address, device identifiers, crash logs, diagnostic data, and usage analytics.
With your consent, GatherCam may request access to your camera, photo library, and notifications. You can control these permissions through your device settings.

Photos uploaded to an event are stored securely using cloud infrastructure, including Cloudflare R2, and made accessible to users who have joined that event.
Photos and event-related content are retained for 6 months after the event end date. During this period, users may continue to access and download their content where available.
After this 6-month retention period, the content is scheduled for deletion and removed from active systems. Limited backup copies may continue to exist for up to an additional 6 months before being permanently deleted from all systems.
Once permanently deleted, photos and associated content cannot be recovered.

We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information with trusted third-party providers that help us operate GatherCam, such as cloud storage providers, analytics providers, error monitoring and crash reporting providers, push notification services, and authentication providers.
We may also disclose information where required to comply with applicable law, enforce our terms, or protect the safety, rights, or property of users, third parties, or our Service.
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide GatherCam and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transmission, secure cloud storage, access controls, monitoring, logging, and regular security updates.
No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
